Types of Visceral Hernia<\/h3>
Many organs or parts of organs can herniate through the numerous openings in the body. However, the most common is Visceral Hernia.<\/div>

Femoral Hernia<\/h4>\n

It causes a bulge in the upper thigh just below the groin. This type is more common in women than men.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>

Inguinal Hernia<\/h4>\n

It is a protrusion of abdominal cavity content such as a portion of the intestine or internal fat through the Inguinal canal. This is more common among men.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>

Incisional Hernia<\/h4>\n

It develops due to an incision in the abdominal area owing to previous surgery. The weakness in the abdominal wall in and around the area of surgery may cause the muscle to be pulled apart resulting in Hernia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>

Hiatal or Hiatus Hernia<\/h4>\n

The upper part of the stomach pushing up through the diaphragm is known as a Hiatal Hernia. This is primarily due to a tear or weakness in the diaphragm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>

Ventral Hernia<\/h4>\n

These are Abdominal Hernias that may develop at birth or due to partial closure of the abdominal wall.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>

Epigastric hernia<\/h4>\n

A weakness or opening of the muscles or bones between the breastbone and the navel may result in protrusions or fat bulges called Epigastric Hernias.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>

Umbilical hernia<\/h4>\n

It is a protrusion of the intestine or fat bulges through the abdominal wall under the navel or belly button. This type generally occurs as a birth defect or develops in obese or pregnant women.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div><\/div> <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
