Types of Ovarian Cancer<\/h3>

Epithelial Ovarian Cancer<\/h4>\n

This is the most common type of ovarian cancer. It originates in the epithelium which are the outer cells that cover the ovary.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n

Borderline Tumors<\/h4>\n

These are a group of epithelial tumors that are not much aggressive. They may also be called \u2018low malignant potential\u2019 or LMP tumors.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n

Germ Cell Ovarian Cancer<\/h4>\n

This is a rare type of ovarian cancer and begins in the egg-producing cells within the ovary. It occurs primarily in teenage girls and young women.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n

Sex-cord Stromal Cell Ovarian Cancer<\/h4>\n

It begins in the stroma or the sex cords that support the ovary and the development of other cells.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n\n
